Andrew Young was born and raised in Fresno, California. He studied horn there under Christopher Golden and Jennie Blomster until moving to San Diego, California to attend Point Loma Nazarene University. There, he continued his study of horn under RB Anthony, followed by Mike McCoy. He now lives in San Diego and engages in music full-time as a freelance performer, arranger, and teacher.

Typical engagements range from studio recording sessions in Los Angeles to music camps and masterclasses. Always seeking to better himself and the musical community at large, Andrew has made efforts to support emerging artists, composers, and students alike.
